The Valley is a 26,500 all seater stadium, and in recent years, has undergone many changes. A new 9,000 seater North Stand was built during the 2001/2002 season, the double tier structure was built on top of the old Covered End and has a single tier in the North-West and North-East corners that connect to the East and West sides.
The West Stand, built for Charlton's first but unsuccessful Premiership campaign is an 8,000 double tier stand, which also houses the club's offices, changing rooms, conferencing suites and bars.
The East stand was built in 1994 and holds just over 6,000 fans. The club are looking to build a new tier on top of the stand.
The away end is the oldest stand at The Valley. The Jimmy Seed Stand, named in memory of the late FA Cup winning manager who managed the club from the 1930's to 1950's has a capacity of 3,000. Apart from the odd pillar it gives a good view of the pitch.
Charlton returned to the Valley in 1992 after seven years of exile, sharing at Crystal Palace and West Ham with a capacity of just over 8,000.
