Our Impressions of Croydon Sports Arena

The pitch is a good several metres away from the 'terracing' and makes for a poor atmosphere - no noise at all really. It also homes shares with Croydon Harriers the athletics' club, who have produced some of the British Olympic squad, including veteran shot-putter, Judy Oakes. I believe that wheelchair access is available, but to be on the safe side, I would ring up the club, just to be sure on 020 8654 8555. There is a grandstand, and a picture of it is on the latest match reports for December 2000.

Car Parking

Don't even think about parking on the side streets - it's mainly residential, and unless you parallel and reversing a pretty good, it's a tight squeeze - Omega/Granada size saloons may find the streets a little daunting, however, the club does have ample parking in the grounds which is a blessed relief. The best way to get there is the Tram, which has a stop right outside. Details, and a map are now provided on In the Net, Ground page.
