Our Impressions of Chester Road West
Deeside ice ring is the home of The Flintshire Freeze who play out of the new Olympic-sized Ice Rink at Deeside Leisure Centre in Queensferry. The rink was opened in September 1998 and has a capacity of 900 spectators with 'The Freeze' regularly playing before crowds of over 700. All away games face off at 6:30 on a Sunday evening.
Situated at Deeside Leisure Centre, Olympic size ice pad (60m x 30m), Lessons available. Ice Sports include Ice Hockey, Curling, Family Nights, Disco on Ice, Sledge Hockey.

From M56
Continue to the end of the M56 following the Queensferry signs along the A5117 which becomes the A550 and then the A494. Leaving the A494 at the Queensferry turning, go around the roundabout taking the A548 (signposted 'Leisure Centre'). Go straight on at the traffic lights. The Ice Rink is approximately 300 yards on the right from the traffic lights, (opposite the Fire Station).
From A55
Take the Ewloe turning (signposted Queensferry) take the A494 after approximately 1.5 miles take the Queensferry turning. Take the A548 (Flint), also signposted 'Leisure Centre'. The Ice Rink is approximately 300 yards on the right from the traffic lights, (opposite the Fire Station).
From Chester City Centre
Take the A548 out of Chester, pick up the A494, (signposted A55), after approximately 1 mile take the Queensferry turning, go around the roundabout taking the A548 (Flint), also signposted 'Leisure Centre'. The Ice Rink is approximately 300 yards on the right from the traffic lights, (opposite the Fire Station).
