Mourneview Park, Lurgan, home of Glenavon FC is one of the finest stadiums in ireland. It is certainly one of the most sufficient grounds in Ireland for size, as it can house the maximum crowd an Irish league side will bring. It has held one semi-final before due to its excellent facilities.
Its is 3/4 seated. The Glenfield road stand built in 2000 seats 2000 people, the Geddis stand will seat 1500 people and the crescent end will seat 500, as well as some terracing space. The other end is completely open terracing and can hold around 2000.
Mourneview, commonly known as 'moanview', also boasts Irelands best club floodlights, installed in 2002, after 3 years of saving.
The match programme costs ?1 (2002/2003), with sufficient enough detail available considering the size of the gates. The average home crowd - 500, and the atmosphere is generally OK.
Despite stereotypical views, the Irish League contains little bigotry or sectarianism and fans will happily sit beside each other.
