Our Impressions of The Shay
On one site of the pitch there is a large stand, with half seated and half terraces. The small stand that once stood opposite has been demolished, and the club is currently building another large, full length stand in it's place.
Both ends have large covered terraces. The terraces themselves are quite steep so viewing is pretty good, but I must said that the pitch seems to be miles away!
Away supporters housed behind goal at South stand.

Directions to The Shay
From The North
Take the A629 to Halifax town centre, take second exit at roundabout just outside town centre, into Broad Street and follow the signs for Huddersfield (A629) into Skircoat Road. The ground is about half a mile outside the town centre on the left.
From M62 (east)
Exit the M62 at junction 24 and follow the signs for 'Eureka' (A629 to Halifax). Continue past Elland and keep going following signs for Halifax town centre. You can't miss the ground (...really!), as the floodlights are clearly visible on the right hand side. The Ground is on the left approximately 500 yards before reaching 'Eureka'.
The ground is only a two minute walk from the station. Leave the station and turn left, continue for about half a mile and you will see the ground in front of you. You can't miss it!
Local Area around The Shay
Parking is limited so finding a non-restricted area on the street is probably the best option.
