Our Impressions of Alexandra Palace

The amount of brickwork at the rink gives Alley Pally a fairly unique appearance, This is aided by the fact all the seats, players benches, sin bins and the DJ Box are all on the same side of the rink. This can lead to a slightly lopsided feel to the atmosphere but as it groups the fans together more it boosts the amount of atmosphere you feel, almost the opposite of Nottingham when the Lions are playing.

This leaves plenty of room for spectators to stand around the rink, which I find gives a better view of the action. However if you're standing you have to keep a careful eye on the game as the rink is surrounded by netting and not plexi glass. This means that sometime the rink can be a bit cold so bring a decent sweatshirt/jacket.
