Our Impressions of Parkside Road
According to one of the club officials I spoke with, the club has had major renovation work on it during the summer!. The ground is open behind both goals, and along a third of both touchlines - cover is available on the remaining third of each side, one side requiring more repairs before it is fully functional. The main stand is on the far touchline from the car park entrance, at the time of attendance an additional 50p was charged for entrance.
Directions to Parkside Road
From M6 (North & South)
Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take first exit at roundabout onto the A590. Continue along this road for approx 3 miles, then onto the A591 (the road divides here A590/A591), for Kendal. Follow A591 for approx 1 mile, then take slip road left for Kendal South, onto the A6. Continue along A6 into Kendal (approx 4 miles) follow the A6 ring road around the outskirts of the town centre, heading for 'K Village'. As you pass over bridge take first left into Parkside Road, continue along road over hump bridge and the ground is then immediately to the right (opposite Cemetery and Netherfield Cricket Club).
Local Area around Parkside Road
Car parking is available outside the ground, it can hold approx 50 cars. There is a free car park further back up Parkfields Road, about 5 minutes walk.
