Our Impressions of Sincil Bank Stadium
The ground is situated in a terraced house residential area, which sometimes makes it impossible to find! The ground consists of four new stands, as Sincil Bank has been completely rebuilt since the Taylor report.
The newest of the four is the 5,900 seater 'Simons' stand. Away fans are normally allocated approx 2000 seats with this stand. Obviously, this is a new stand, so the view and facilities are good.
Also included in the ground is a family stand which holds about seven and looks absolutely ridiculous!
Lincoln fans say it is one of the best grounds in the third division! The ground has an all seater capacity of just over 10,500. However the ticket prices for both home and away fans are not cheap.
The ground is one of those that when its full there is a great atmosphere, but all too often there's too few people paying excessive prices to watch over-paid 'professionals' hoofing the ball from one end to the other, resulting in an eerie silence, punctuated by the occasional drumbeat as the band try and wake the long-suffering Imps followers into song. (Sounds a bit cynical and depressing, but I am afraid that's Division 2 football for you!)
