Yorkshire's seaside racecourse. There has been racing on the present site at Redcar on the Cleveland coast since 1872.
Description: A left-handed flat, galloping, oval track of two miles, with a long run-in of five furlongs which extends backwards to form a straight mile.
Accompanied children under 16 years are admitted free into all enclosures except on Sundays when there is a nominal charge of ?1. Sunday, 12 August - prices as previously stated plus a Family Ticket £4.50 (if purchased in advance) admits £2 adults & accompanying children; Children £1.
There's a Children's playground in the Course Enclosure.

The racecourse is situated in the town of Redcar, sign posted from the A1085 and A174 from Teesside, with entrances on Redcar Lane and West Dyke Road. Redcar's train station is only a few minutes' walk from the course.
