Our Impressions of Ripon Race Co. Ltd.

Affectionately known as Yorkshire's 'Garden Racecourse', there has been racing on the present site at Ripon since August 1900. The first recorded meeting in the Ripon area on Bondgate Green, was in 1664.

Description: A right-handed oval track of one mile, five furlongs, with a long run-in of five furlongs.

Accompanied children under 16 years of age are admitted free of charge.

There are Children's playgrounds in the Silver Ring and Course Enclosure. Concessions for pre-booked parties.

Location

The racecourse is situated just to the east of the City of Ripon in North Yorkshire, on the Boroughbridge road (B6265). The nearest Railway Stations are at Harrogate and Thirsk.
