Our Impressions of Shoemakers Lane
This is a rather sparse ground, located in the heart of this buzzing market town. There is a small covered stand, with seating for approximately 50 supporters. The only other covered area is the Shed, which is literally as it sounds.... a shed!
Despite the above, the ground looked tidy, there was ample car parking, and the pitch looked in really good condition. The club house is brick built (...unlike many others in this league, which are port-a-cabins), and a warm welcome is always forthcoming.
Directions to Shoemakers Lane
By Road
The ground is located right in the middle of the town, so it can be difficult to find. Head into the town centre. When you get to the memorial, keep a lookout for the White Hart public house. You need to travel along Cley Lane (one way street), which is the road next to the White Hart pub. Continue along Cley Lane for approx. 250 yards, and Shoemakers lane is on the right hand side. This is signposted, but beware as it's a track rather than a road, and can be difficult to spot.Local Area around Shoemakers Lane
Car Parking
There is apple car parking at the ground, and there is also a public car park just off Cley Lane, for those who want to make a quick exit.
Cash Machines
All the major banks can be found in the town centre, so finding the closest ATM is not really a problem.
