Our Impressions of Thirsk Racecourse Ltd.
The Hambleton area of North Yorkshire, set between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Dales, is steeped in equine history, with racing taking place back in 1740. There has been racing on the present site since 1855.
Description: A left-handed oval track of one mile and a quarter, with an undulating run-in of four furlongs. Sprint races are held over the straight extension of the run-in.
Accompanied children under 16 years of age are admitted free of charge.
Dress Code for Club Enclosure - collared shirt and tie.
